Do US, UK, Canadian and Australian Citizens Need a Visa for Morocco?
Published August 27, 2026 by Morocco Amazing Tours
Citizens of the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and EU countries including France, Germany and Spain do not need a visa to visit Morocco as tourists for stays of up to 90 days — you'll receive an entry stamp on arrival, no advance application required.
What You Actually Need at the Border
A passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your entry date is required — Morocco does not accept national ID cards, even from EU citizens, so bring your actual passport. You'll typically fill out a short immigration form (sometimes distributed on the flight, sometimes at the arrival hall) noting your first night's accommodation address, which is worth having ready before you land.
The 90-Day Limit
Tourist entry allows a stay of up to 90 days per visit, with no automatic renewal — if you want to stay longer, you'd need to leave and re-enter, or apply for an extension through Moroccan immigration authorities before your 90 days expire. For any of our itineraries (8–15 days), this is a complete non-issue.
Onward Travel and Funds
Border officials may ask about your onward or return travel plans and, rarely, evidence of sufficient funds for your stay — in practice this is asked infrequently, but having your return flight confirmation accessible is good practice regardless.
A Note on E-Visas and Scam Sites
Because citizens of these countries don't need a visa, be wary of third-party websites offering to process a Morocco "e-visa" for a fee — for the nationalities covered here, no such application is needed, and these sites are charging for something you don't have to pay for.
Combining This With Your Trip
Since no advance visa paperwork is needed, the main planning task is simply booking flights into Casablanca and choosing an itinerary length — see our guide on choosing between 8, 11, 13 or 15 days, or go straight to our 11 day tour if that timeframe fits.
