Morocco is a generally safe country for tourists, including solo travelers and solo female travelers, with violent crime against visitors rare — the more common issues are petty scams and overly persistent vendors in tourist-heavy medina areas, both of which a private driver and guide largely sidestep.

The realistic risk profile in Morocco's tourist areas is overcharging, unofficial "guide" touts pointing you toward specific shops for a commission, and occasional pickpocketing in the busiest souk lanes — annoying but manageable with basic awareness, not a sign of danger. Violent crime targeting tourists is uncommon, and Morocco's government treats tourism as a major economic priority, with visible police presence in tourist zones.

Solo Female Travelers

Morocco is a genuinely popular solo female travel destination, though street harassment (persistent comments or attention, rarely anything more) is a more common complaint than in many European destinations.
