Rabat – Chefchaouen Guided Tour

Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
Visit Volubilis (Walili), Morocco's best-preserved Roman ruins, with a guided walk through the Capitoline Temple, Basilica, Roman baths and mosaic-floored houses — a filming location for Scorsese's The Last Temptation of Christ. Fes Guided Tour
A full day exploring the world's oldest working medina — a 9,000-street car-free maze of craftsmen, tanneries and mosques. See the Royal Palace exterior, the Blue Gate, Bou Inania Madrasa, Nejjarine Fountain, Al Quaraouiyine University, the tanneries and Borj Sud, with stops for Berber carpets and zellige tilework.

Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga
Cross the Middle Atlas via Ifrane's cedar forests and Barbary ape troops near Azrou. Lunch in apple-growing Midelt, then follow the Ziz Valley's palm groves to Merzouga. Ride camels 45–60 minutes into the Erg Chebbi dunes for a sunset arrival at your desert camp. (Total: 7 hours driving)
Overnight in a luxury desert camp, Merzouga
Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Skoura
Morning music with the Gnaoua community, descendants of enslaved people from Sudan. Leave the Sahara for Skoura Oasis via Todra Gorge, where 300-metre canyon walls tower over a shallow river, then the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. (Total: 4.5 hours driving)
Overnight at a boutique riad or hotel in Skoura
Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech
Ouarzazate, the "Hollywood of Africa" (optional Atlas Studios visit), then Ait Benhaddou — a UNESCO World Heritage ksar on the historic Sahara-to-Marrakech caravan route. Arrive in Marrakech for the night. (Total: 4.5 hours driving)

A different side of Morocco: the Atlantic coastline at Essaouira, a UNESCO-listed 18th-century fortified port town with whitewashed, blue-shuttered houses, thuya-wood workshops, art galleries and fresh seafood.
